Gulai taboh is one of the traditional food from Lampung Province. The dish is awarded as a cultural heritage on 2015. Taboh is Lampungnesse term for coconut milk in English. That being said, gulai taboh is coconut milk curry filled with seafood and vegetables in it.
Fish is the main ingredient in gulai taboh. There are two optional fish to be used; parrot fish or cork fish. Another ingerdients of gulai taboh consist of corn, long beans, red chilli, shrimp, sweet potatoes, basil leaves, bay leaf, lemongrass, betel leaf, and salt. On the authentic recipe of gulai taboh, there is no single use of garlic found in the cooking process.
